The PE Crisis and How Superhuman Training Manual Can Improve It Immediately

THE P.E. TRAGEDY


There is a health crisis in America, no one can deny that. It has grown over the last few decades, so it started with school age children. Lots went wrong, but our educational system needs to take a large portion of the blame. PE class is considered a throw away class and even has become an American joke. PE today is not only inadequate, but dangerous and even worse, kills the students motivation for future exercise. How many adults are utilizing their PE programs they learned in school today? Major fail, as this is one of the main goals of PE in schools.... they are achieving the exact opposite. This is almost criminal considering the consequences.

The answer? For this we must have a clear directive. Here is one all can agree on from the California Dept. of Education.

The California Department of Education indicates :
“…PE teaches students how their bodies move and how to perform a variety of physical activities. Students learn the health-related benefits of regular physical activity and the skills to adopt a physically active, healthy lifestyle.”

Let's break this down sentence by sentence then find and apply a solution. first:
. "...PE teaches students how their bodies move. "
This is the very definition of Kinesiology, to grasp kinesiology you need to know anatomy and some physiology(human biology). Therefore an effective PE curriculum will  have student become proficient in at least the basics of the above subjects. anatomy  followed by kinesiology. A basic to advanced version of this course would be developed  depending on students age and proficiency.
Superhuman Training Manual Volume 1 provides an example of  a basic anatomy, kinesiology and physiology. In a format that will draw in and engage school age children immediately.


Next
 "...and perform a variety of physical activities." This is where the anything goes attitude at PE comes from. Could not be more vague. Dodgeball, low back damaging sit ups and jogathons are PE staples. With the exception of a small percentage of students who excel at these activities, all other participants learn to hate "exercise" and anything related to it.  I can also tell you now from firsthand experience that millions of future chronic pain issues start in PE  classes and high school weight rooms.
     So the answer to achieving the goal of this sentence would be this: Have all students become proficient and efficient at the basic human moments(movement fundamentals), then this will translate directly over to any physical activity that the student chooses to participate in, complying completely with the vague "...and perform a variety of physical activities." 
Superhuman Training Manual Volume 1 Teaches the fundamentals of human movement that all of us take for granted and perform improperly everyday.   So that movement is more efficient and does not cause chronic injury (more done with less energy expenditure, wear an tear)

"Students learn the health-related benefits of regular physical activity..."
In this setting(PE class) the ideal and only way to achieve this is to produce visible, tangible and measurable results in body composition (fat vs muscle), strength and endurance. The PE classes which produce results in the metrics above will be more successful than any book or video. Other metrics such as resting heart rate and blood pressure can be used also.

"and the skills to adopt a physically active, healthy lifestyle.”
This is the major objective of any PE class. If this objective was being met over the last few decades, the US would not be in the poor shape it is now, literally. It can be argued that the current PE system is achieving the opposite. To identify why this is occurring, while simultaneously designing an a PE program that meet this objective we can look to Psychology

Using the psychological ABC tool for behavior modification, every behavior (B) has an a cause or antecedent (A) and a consequence (C) that either encourages or discourages this behavior. *

The behavior we are looking for is a "physically active, healthy lifestyle." Just by looking at statistics we can see that the PE system is failing miserably fortunately using this well proven psychological tool (ABC) we can identify the problem and find a solution.

Problem: students are not "adopting a physically active, healthy lifestyle.

The statistics tell us that on average in America the consequence (C) of PE (B) is discouraging  students from adapting healthy lifestyle(A)  Compliance in exercise science is THE major issue. There have been studies as peoples lives and livelihoods are at stake, literally.
The main "keywords" that are directly related positively to compliance and the willingness to even start an exercise program are "doable", "quick" efficient.
That is, if an program is descried as tough or challenging, it will have a much smaller percentage of people even trying it.
So promising and delivering on easy, quick and doable will get a lot more participants initially.

This may get someone to start a program but sticking with it (compliance) is another matter. There are two undeniable factors that will almost guarantee compliance. 1. The exercise program or behavior(B) must be enjoyable and 2. It must produce tangible, measurable and visible results.

So by combining "doable and quick" with "fun and result producing" would not only be the way to get those who otherwise would not to start exercising, but also promote compliance with program even when school is out.

Measuring body fat % instead of weight or BMI is a more accurate daily measurement of health, as many diseases and bad habits also promote indiscriminate weight loss.  Besides health, a drop in body fat percentage comes improvement in appearance. Right or wrong, physical appearance in high school is crucial for self confidence and how others perceive student.

In conclusion, a short, simple, doable exercise program that produces weekly results and teaches physiology, anatomy, kinesiology, biology, nutrition up to molecular biology should be the mission of any PE class that seeks to truly embrace the meaning of the mission statement promoted by the Department of Education.

Below is a routine that will accomplish this with a 10-minute investment per day. It involves instruction on the above goals, measurable outcomes and assessments, and most importantly healthy and visible results. Setting goals and accomplishing visible and tangible results with short, convenient exercises creates a powerful motivational system. Changes in a child’s physique and performance and more importantly the knowledge of how and why the body will improve. This not only creates self-esteem but promotes the create the right environment for a lifelong healthy lifestyle.

The program starts with the basics of human anatomy and movement we were never taught and proceeds from there. We help students find their own body’s optional way to function. First year goals include how to stand, how to sit(squat), how to breathe and how to run. Superhuman Training Manual Volume 1 and 2 can easily be adapted into a structured 5-10 minute a day PE curriculum that can be used by any teacher with a few hours training.

This program is ideal for businesses and senior facilities and programs also. Brief description of class and exercises below, using images from Superhuman Training Manual Volume I: The Basics.

I will work closely with administrators and provide instruction to teachers and instructors so they can implement the program in their desired setting. I will also be available to work with students. I promise visible, testable progress by the 2nd week.

Page 1 lets them know there will be some effort involved, but it will be worth it at the end.

PE Version:
Compliance with the program during and after the school year is a major goal of PE. As we have learned above, the best chances of achieving this is to let the student know the exercise portion will be brief, doable and net visible results.
Student handout will read: Welcome To" PE. This will be the shortest and simplest PE Class you have eve taken. At the same time it will produce the most results and give you more knowledge than any other. Family and friends will notice the results within a month and more importantly you will have the knowledge to continue when school is out and even teach others.

HOW TO STAND


Proper posture is crucial for optimal health. Improper posture leads to:
muscular problems
 skeletal and joint problems, 
limits range of motion, 
hinders digestion
effects mood
effects energy levels 
negatively effects appearance 

       The basics on standing, including foot position, hand position, shoulder blade retraction.  
Teaching method: The verbal queues: 
1.head up

4. feet pointed forward 
5. weight even on both feet





 PRACTICE: as class goes on or throughout day, have student student check and assess themselves and each other. The goal is to spend more time in the proper position every week. Or the standing and breathing exercise below an be combined.

Breathing pretest: Have student take deep breath, if chest rises-fail abdomen expands first-pass. 
Waist measurement at navel. Measure navel in relaxed state then with abs drawn in as far as possible. This test will have initial measurement  2nd measurement after exercises 1-3 have been mastered, then should be done once every 4 weeks The goal of this test is to 
a.) See a reduction in relaxed measurement 
b.) Increase the ratio of relaxed / drawn in measurements. 

The BOLT Test  
1. Take a small, silent breath in through your nose and allow a small, silent breath out through your nose.
2. Hold your nose with your fingers to prevent air from entering your lungs.
3. Count the number of seconds until you feel the first definite desire to breathe.
4. Release your nose and breathe in through it. (Your inhalation and exhalation at the end of the breath should be calm.)
5. The number of seconds you counted is your BOLT score.
0-10: Your breathing is likely to be noisy, irregular and heavy, with no natural pauses between breaths.
10-20: Your breathing is heavy but regular.
20-30: Your breathing is calm, gentle, soft and quiet.
40: Breathing is effortless, calm and minimal. With a BOLT score of 40 seconds, it is difficult to see breathing movements. 
The lower the student BOLT score the more likely the student will have the following

upper chest breathing
CHVS chronic hyperventilation syndrome
Increased bouts of breathlessness
increased bouts of panic and attacks

High Bolt Score means student is:

Breathing with diaphragm
Breathing lightly (little effort)
Good lung volume

These attributes means student has less breathing resistance during sleep. Sleeping and performance, both physically and academically are closely related studies have shown.

Studies have also shown that 50% of students breathe with open mouth.

Exercise 1: PROPER RESTING INHALE
Have student look down at their chest and abdomen. Have them expand their belly by inhaling. Remember, this will be the first time most of these students have done it consciously. Some students will require extra time on this portion. 
Instructor should watch chest on inhale, if it does not move then student has learned technique. It is important that the instructor be able to perform the breathing properly for demonstration purposes. Once the student is able to inhale 5 breaths in a row proceed to step 2.

Exercise 2: LEARNING TO EXHALE WITH ABDOMEN in same position have student look down at abdomen, have student Inhale deeply into abdomen, this time have them exhale by quickly bringing their abs in,  a good cue is to have them focus on forcibly driving their navel towards their spine.  Once student has mastered this move to step 3.

Exercise 3: Maximum lung capacity breath - have student take deep breath drawing air into belly, hold and have student then draw in air into ribcage by raising chest, then have student take one more inhale into throat using trachea. Exhale.




Test: a fun visual test is to have student first blow up a balloon inhaling with their chest. Measure balloon with measuring tape or calipers. empty balloon and repeat after maximum lung capacity breath. There will be a visible measurable difference in size when maximum lung capacity breath is used. Each student can practice with their own balloon once technique is learned. 



Exercise  4:  BREATHING FOR ENERGY/RECOVERY deep inhale with maximim capacity breath learned in exercise 2 and forceful exhale by rawing abdominals in quickly. There should be a audible exhalation as abs are drawn in.  
3 sets x as many proper repetitions as possible.
- student should be seated or lying in case of dizziness.  Have student do as many breaths as comfortably possible in this manner, making sure they are drawing in abdominals.  Some may be limited due to coughing, some abdominal soreness and some dizziness.

Exercise 5: Wim Hoff method: have student sit on floor or lie down. Have student take deep forceful inhale, pulling in as much air as possible, relax on exhale imagining only letting 50% of air out. Good verbal or mental cue is to imagine 100% in 50% out. 
Cue: Deep breath in, half breath  out.  On 30th breath have student expel air and hold breath with no air in lungs, as long as possible. document.

3 x 30 breaths in above technique and timed breath hold with no air in lungs, document each round in chart.

This is a Wim Hoff technique and an inspiring verbal walkthrough is available for free online and is highly suggested until the instructor feels comfortable with their own verbal cues.

There will be tingling sensations in different areas of body and light headedness for almost everyone so all should be lying or seated on floor with mat or cushioned floor. 

Exercise 6:  breathing for cool down/ relaxation- in lying or seated position have student have student inhale deeply into belly without chest rising  and exhale with no effort, letting air naturally escape from lungs.
Cue: have student student dwell" mentally in space between the inhale and exhale random trying to make it hard to distinguish when one starts and the other begins reminders- throughout day when opportunity presents itself. The goal is to breathe so slowly and queitly and slowly the

 Also included a brief description of power poses, which have been proven to have positive physiological benefits immediately. Helping with anxiety and depression,consequently anxiety and depression will increase if neglected. People who have been blind from birth will put their arms in the V position after winning, suggesting that postures are directly related to emotions. Power postures are fun, as each student will have their own variation. Remembering that fun is a major factor in compliance. 
A good time for students to do their power poses are after successful
10 seconds a mayor per class (3 reminders 3 seconds each) is a small price to pay especially when the  effects of regular practice stet to manifest.

HOW TO BREATH




 





Four amazing facts about this section. 
1.) The wide range of health problems that can be alleviated by proper conscious breathing. For instance anxiety and deep, slow breathing are incompatible. Panicked people are automatically told to breath deeply because symptoms alleviated immediately. The goal is to eliminate mouth breathing at rest which is directly responsible for a wide range of ailments: ADHD, daytime drowsiness, learning disabilities, frequency of illness, dental problems and even facial structure. There are studies that show that breathing through mouth rather than nose lowers IQ.
"Mouth breathing means difficult breathing, and this in turn means deficient oxygenation of the tissues, with resultant lowering of vital activities. " - 
breathing through mouth depletes co2, this reduces blood flow.

2.) The amount of positive benefits for healthy people (prevention). Conscious breathing covers all aspects of human health, vitality and performance. For instance, Ph levels are controlled through breathing and urination, not diet, as some would have you believe. If we had to wait for the digestion process to complete for ph to change we'd perish in the process. 

3.)the percentage of people who do not not know to breathe properly. which is surely above 90 percent. Teaching children how to deep breathe If you cannot consciously take a deep breath drawing air into the belly without chest rising
Including the reader, try to inhale and have your belly and not chest expand like a balloon. The  following graph shows the average breaths per minute of people in each decade and compares to normal (healthy) which is 6 breaths per minute. 
4.) How can any Physical Education Class NOT include this? This is a glaring indictment on the current model
Learning deep breathing through belly will also activate the TVA transverse abdobnimal muscle. The muscle resposible for drawing the belly in and the main muscle for activating the core. In very young children you can see

Practice: 
2-5 minutes per day of proper deep breathing technique. Cue students by having them inhale and imagine belly being a balloon and expanding. 
Once this technique has been mastered have them forcefully exhale by drawing in navel towards spine.  3 fast to start working way up as time progresses.  
For relaxing or calming student down have them take the deep breath properly but slowly and let the exhale happen naturally with no effort



Another benefit of breathing this way is top activate the transverse abdominal muscle (TVA). This is the muscle that draws in the belly and is a major core muscle. It is active in toddlers and young children, it automatically draws in when on hands and knees. As we spend more time sitting in chairs and sofas, it loses its strength to the point that some have trouble contracting it at all. The benefits of having this muscle being strong and functioning properly will be fewer lower back injuries and imroved performance in daily activities and athletics.In fact this muscle is so important that the bodybuilding "vacuum pose" should be taught as soon as possible and incorporated into breathing routine.




How To Sit Applied The sitting method described in the Superhuman Training Manual will activate all the muscles that become atrophied in modern society. Proper sitting is proper squatting, a movement all able humans perform but neglect everyday. 
Practice: Using the cues above this can be taught every time a student sits and is also applied on the lower body training portion of book. A good cue is to ask students to sit slowly under control and not just flop down at the speed of gravity. Have them be awre of their pelvic floor and core muscles. The benefits of this awareness will last a lifetime. This technique is used by world record holding weightlifters to strengthen core. The goal is to be able to perform full squats with belt line below the knees with ease.  
The the most important part of these cues is activating the pelvic floor muscles and entire core and coordinate smoothly and efficiently through trunk and torso. 


Resistance Training

Superhuman Training manual uses brief, infrequent resistance training workouts for three reasons 1. Effectiveness 2. efficiency and 3. compliance

Number of SetsACSM recommends at least 1 set per major muscle group. However, most studies with older adults have done 2 to 3 sets (Porter 2000). It is possible that multiple set programs show greater strength gains when conducted over a longer time span. However, for attaining the majority of the health benefits from RT, 1 set may be sufficient for most elderly client goals.FrequencyRT should be preformed up to 2x per week, separating workout sessions with at least a period of 48 hours. However, the optimal frequency for the mature and frail adult has not been definitively established. It should be noted that maintenance of strength in seniors has been achieved with as little as 1 workout day per week (Porter 2000).

Biohack/Jedi Training: Natural Supplementation-

In my almost 3 decades in the fitness industry, I have seen the rise of nutritional supplements and have taken or have had clients take almost everything. Follow my following advice on supplementation based on three decades of experience and you will save yourself a lot of time, money and prevent unnecessary metabolic damage.

OREGANO (Mediterranean, Vulgare)

What is sold in most traditional grocery stores as oregano is not wild Mediterranean oregano. It has little preventative or therapeutic value. Real wild Mediterranean oregano is of two varieties. Thymus capitatus is the variety that grows in Spain. Most of the oregano that grows throughout the rest of the Mediterranean is the origanum vulgare variety. In order to obtain the health benefits of oil of oregano, the oregano must be of one of these two varieties.

These are the ingredients found in oil of oregano that provide its unique properties:

Carvacrol has been proven in studies to be a powerful antimicrobial, so powerful that it can be used to preserve food and render it self-stable. Reseach has shown it to be effective against candida albicans, the aspergillus mold, staphylococcus, campylobacter, klebsiella, e.coli, giardia, pseudomonas, salmonella, and listeria. Carvacrol provides many of the health benefits of oil of oregano .

Thymol is a natural fungicide with antiseptic properties. It is the active ingredient in Listerine mouthwash. Thymol is also an immune system booster and a shield against toxins. It is capable of preventing tissue damage and encouraging healing.

Terpenes is the source of the word turpentine. Terpenes give off a pine scent and are also produced by pine trees. Terpenes have potent antibacterial properties.

Rosmarinic acid is a stronger antioxidant than vitamin E. It prevents free radical damage and is instrumental in preventing atherosclerosis and cancer. Rosmarinic acid has shown to be effective in the treatment of allergic asthma. It reduces fluid build up and swelling during an allergy attack, and is an effective natural antihistamine.

Naringin is the substance that gives grapefruit its bitter taste. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and helps boost the effect of antioxidants.

Oil of oregano also contains a good amount of the vitamin E complex, as well as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, potassium, copper, boron, manganese, vitamins A and C, and niacin.

Recent research shows oil of oregano beneficial to the colon and liver

A study reported in the journal Experimental and Toxicologic Pathology investigated the treatment efficacy of intra-rectal and intra-peritoneal application of oregano oil on induced colitis in rats using a morphological damage score. They found a significant difference in terms of ulceration, mucus cell depletion, inflammatory cell infiltration, vascular dilatation, crypt abcesses, and edema between the group given oregano oil compared to the control group.

A study reported in the journal Mediators of Inflammation examined the anti-inflammatory effects of the combination of thyme and oregano oil administered at three concentrations on mice with induced colitis. They found that the treatment decreased the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1beta, IL-6, GM-CSF, and TNF-alpha, especially after the application of the medium dose of 0.2% thyme and 0.1% oregano oil. The medium dose also significantly lowered the amount of the IL-1beta and IL-6 proteins. Administration of the medium dose decreased the mortality rate, accelerated the body weight gain recovery, and reduced the macroscopic damage of the colonic tissue.

Phytomedicine reports a study to investigate the possible effects of carvacrol obtained from oregano oil on the regenerative feature of the liver following partial hepatectomy in rats. The liver regeneration rate of the animals was calculated measuring the weights of their livers before and after the hepatectomy. The researchers found that the liver regeneration increased significantly in the rats given the oregano oil compared to the control group.

Another study reported in Phytomedicine investigated the comparative effects of carvacrol in the liver of rats subjected to restricted blood supply and the restoration of blood flow to the organs and tissues following a period of time. They found that carvacrol ws able to protect the liver against defects caused by the event. They also found carvacrol to be non-hepatotoxic at the applied doses.

Oil of oregano is a powerful and versatile medicine

In his book, The Cure is in the Cupboard, Dr. Cass Ingram tells of how oil of oregano saved his life after he contacted a blood borne fungus from an IV needle. He claims that oil of oregano holds supremacy as nature's most powerful and versatile antiseptic. It is a preservative that can be used to halt the growth of microbes and reduce the risk for food poisoning in meats, eggs, milk and other foods. In his book he lists more than 170 conditions for which the oil may be useful, including treatment for athletes foot, psoriasis, eczema, worms, amoebae, and protozoa. It is helpful in combating diarrhea, intestinal gas, sore throat, sinusitis, breathing difficulties, dandruff, diaper rash, bee stings and venomous bites. It can help reduce fever, relieve cramps, and reduce the effects of measles and mumps.

Herbal authority Steven Foster credits oregano as having been used successfully to treat indigestion, diarrhea, nervous tension, insect bites, toothache, earache, rheumatism, and coughs due to whopping cough and bronchitis.

Using oil of oregano

There is a large quality difference in oil of oregano products currently on the market. Most products do not contain pure oil of oregano. They are instead a combination of oregano oil with a dilutive oil such as olive or flax. Some of these products probably contain a significant amount of oil of oregano, others do not, but there is no way to know. It would also be helpful to know if the oil of oregano was naturally extracted. If you find a brand that tells you how much actual oil of oregano is in the product, the next step is to determine the amount of the active ingredients which are primarily the volatile oils carvacrol and thymol. This is not an easy task.

Supplements of oregano oil are available as tinctures and capsules. Oreganol is a popular product but the oil of oregano is listed as part of a proprietary blend, so you really don't have any idea what you are getting. It is expensive, so its price may be an indication of quality or it may not.

Bio-alternatives makes a tincture that it says it provides 85% naturally extracted carvacrol, but it is blended with olive oil, so you don't know how much oil of oregano is in it. A one ounce bottle sells for $17.99. This oregano is the origanum vulgare variety.

Byron Richards of Wellness Resources has done a fairly good job of coming clean about what is in his Oregano Oil product. According to him each capsule contains 100 mg. of wild oregano oil that is 55%-65% carvacrol. He doesn't tell you how it was extracted. A bottle of 180 capsules sells for about $28.00. This oregano is the thymus capitatus variety.

Oregano can be grown in the garden and processed in the kitchen.

Electrolyte replacement drink- makes 2 cups16 ounces filtered water (preferably spring water and not reverse osmosis water as RO water is devoid of minerals)
Juice of one large or two small oranges
Juice of one lemon
1/2 tsp sea salt (I prefer Celtic sea salt for this particular drink)
1 tsp Azomite powder (optional)
1 Tbl raw honey

Directions

Juice the orange and the lemon. Mix the fresh juices with the sea salt, honey, and optional azomite. I prefer Celtic sea salt or Himalayan pink salt for an electrolyte replacement instead of other sea salts because it has over 80 minerals. Other sea salts like Real Salt have about 60 
The azomite powder (volcanic rock dust) is listed as an optional ingredient to add even more electrolytes. It has not been specifically approved by the FDA for human consumption. If you feel more comfortable relying on the sea salt alone for the electrolytes in this beverage, that is fine. PURPOSE OF REVIEW:

Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in plasma and plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of intestinal barrier.

RECENT FINDINGS:

Experimental studies showed that glutamine is able to modulate intestinal permeability and tight junction protein expression in several conditions. Recent articles underlined its putative beneficial role in gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome.

SUMMARY:

Glutamine is a major nutrient to maintain intestinal barrier function in animals and humans. Depletion of glutamine results in villus atrophy, decreased expression of tight junction proteins and increased intestinal permeability. Fighting Against Darkness and Evil and Winning

     This is story that needs to get told. It will resonate with parents, business owners, renters, single parents, the self employed, working poor and middle class, single moms, independent contractors, tradesmen or artists.
   It will inspire those going through similar situations and expose how companies consistently get away with immoral and even illegal business practices, how the government and the courts are complicit in the whole oppressive system. The callousness, dishonesty hostility and cruelty of the companies that are responsible needs to be exposed. Read my unbelievable recount of the last 5 months and you will see the state of America today, if we dont make extreme changes, our days are numbered as a world leader. How to Crush The American Dream

     I was a single father who raised 2 boys and girl alone. I lived in the "hood" while raising while raising them. The apartment complex in city Heights where they grew up looked intimidating to all visitors, who came. Aways groups of people outside, teenagers, few gang members or older adults having a smoke or drink and usually loud. Fights and arguments were Had my place broken into twice and my car once. New Years day or 4th of July the place sounded like a war zone with all shots being fired. Between the break ins and breaking up some fights it was very productive time for me. I was able to find work doing something I love and even pay for housekeeper to help and the kids to attend a Private Catholic school, St Jude academy(at a family discount of course).  It must have been a pretty impressive accomplishment because the local Spanish Newspaper, Enlace, did a beautiful piece of me and the kids and our story for one of there Fathers Day issues.
     The biggest obstacle to my success was not the crime, the "bad" neighborhood or the stress of raising 3 children by myself. There is no other way to describe this but our government, corporate models and the financial system  are at war with the working poor, independent contractors, small business owners, single parents, wage workers and the middle class in general.
    It would take a hundred break ins to equal the financial devastation caused by government. One day while headed to work after dropping off kids I get pulled over, officer says I have a suspended license because of failure to pay child support. I tell the officer this is obviously a clerical mistake, because I have always had my kids and had just dropped them off. Officer, "Not my problem" and tows my car. Working poor (and law enforcement) know that means pretty much your only mode of transportion is gone, because if your living check to check, there is know way to afford the ridiculous costs and fees it takes to get your vehicle back, including missing more work to get it done. I have lost 4 cars, yes 4 like this while raising my kids as a single father... not once for a moving violation either. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment... Thats not the last of it. Shortly after the article in Enlace, the mother comes back after no help for 7 years and asks if she can have our daughter come visit. During the time she was there, she applied for welfare for her and was granted, because within a few months I started recieving bills from Child Support services. When I called to straighten things out I was told I would have to drive 3 hours to El Centro to see a judge. I told them it was not necassary, just check school records and see that they have been with me for the last 8 years. I could not afford to drag the kids out there with no vehicle and miss a day of work. Soon after they start garnishing my checks. During the slow summer months of work they would take up to 100% of my check while I was raising the kids!  How is this even legal?  To this day I still owe thousands of child support, to take of this would take days of productive time I could not afford.
    I survived this, kids went to college and are grown now. This experience allowed me to find the perfect profession and passion, personal training. I was obssessed with gaining as much education as I could and putting it to practice on myself first, then clients. After 25 years of education and practice I have come up with the most efficient health and fitness program on the planet. For professional athletes to 80 year old first timers, there is no program better. It need to be documented and taught in every PE class or gym, because the programs out there now are ineffecient, ineffective  and even dangereous. So I set myself up to make a living and still have time to write a book, the American dream was within my reach until...

    The child support claim against me of course ruined an chance of good credit. So the last three years I have been pretty much a drifter and without transportation. I used that time for research for my book, mainly to argue with the academics and fitness "experts" at their level. Even working my way to take advanced molecular biology online, thanks EDx!! What I learned during this time is absolutley amazing and goes against all current recomendations of not just the health and fitness but medical science. My book now had the potential to become 100 more effective and the potentail target groups went from to health and fitness folks, to every man woman child on earth. This book will help anyone who's willing to follow and the methods are quick, doable and extremely effective in increasing health and vitality.

To start what is going to be a multi-million dollar enterprise, the first thing is that you need a roof over your head. I found the perfect roomate situation which I knew could work, blocks away from my place of work. I had a 2 minute commute and could use the time finish my book and being so close to the gym, i could pick up clients just walking around the neighborhood, shopping or eating out wich i regularly do.
    So I had saved $5,000, half of which went to used car and the other half was for the next 4 months rent, 600 per roomate so I could focus on writing and not worry about adding clients during the slow months, November and December. Book outline is ready, 70 percent done, ideal living situaton, I was set. 2017 was going start with me checking my paypal account every morning to see how many books I sold. Then the evil folk started to come for me.
     After signing the lease I paid 1200, then another 1000 the next which would have taken me into December. After a 2 moths I get a call from management saying that the roomate had put in her 30 day notice, as a result I was no longer qualified to stay there. I had to get a guarantor or submit my 30 day notice. I stated I only worked 2 days out of the week at the time and it would be no problem to come up with the extra 600. They still demanded a guarantor, at the time I was working on a seminar in November which would set me up with plenty of clients for 2017, as I have had great success with before. I asked a family member to cosign, after a week of waiting and paying for another credit check the office calls back and tells me this person doesnt qualify either and oh yeah, your roomate hasnt paid either and know you owe 1200 back rent. But still need to another 35 for credit check for another guaraqntor and credit check or submit 30 day notice.  All of a sudden I had to not only raise 1200 but double my income. That would be no problem for me at this location, but asking a guarantor to take on an immediate 1200 debt would be ridiculous. So I focused on getting the money to pay them, it was the only route I had, paid an advertiser, took an ad in local paper for seminar and started to prepare.
   In comes SDG and E, roomate not only had not been paying rent but power bill was in her name also and she had not been paying that either. So the week of my seminar the power goes out. I call to get power put on in my name, I had old bill that I was ready to pay to get power on, the person on line said i had to wait 1-3 days for  This was tuesday before seminar, I told them I had a 2 year old in the house to no avail. It took 3 days for them to get back to me, Friday. I was trying to get people to seminar with no power and a sick two year old. She said I would have to take a copy of my lease to office before closing, they were not open on weekend. Girl at counter took copy and gave me reciept. I missed work, valuable time recruiting and took my sick two year to accomplish this. She could not do tell me anything, said I had to go home and call credit department again!
    I called the credit department, the person, Jaydynn first said she didnt receive it and if I sent it by fax. After explaining how she puts me on hold and says I'll have to get lease in my own name, because the one I had included the ex-roomate, or else have the roommate pay the balance she owed(she had since moved to east coast and was impossible to get a hold of). Catch 22, she did not care about me or my daughter or situation. Hopelessness, anger, frustration. Mostly because of attending to my sick daughter I spent my day trying to comply with a corrupt company with absolutely no results. My first instinct was to spend my energy doing what I am doing now. Going to social media for help and justice. In a moment of clarity I realized even if did get what I wanted I would not have the means to pay my now double rent and the power if I didn't at least double my income. 
In the great American spirit I resolved to roll up my sleeves and increase my income, power or not. My plan was to pay rent on time and maybe the property manager would see I was capable and give me a lease I could take to SDGE and I would have power the week after my seminar.  The seminar came and was successful, I doubled my income and immediately scheduled another for January, with power and January being best month for training I could easily double it again. I sent an email to property manager saying I had raised the rent money, they said they have given me enough time to come with guarantor and gave me 30 day notice anyway. I could not leave at this point, I would be living out of my car. The expenses that accrue because of lack of power are many. Starting with food, you cannot buy bulk or save perishables so your grocery/food bill quadruples. Also the time you spend sweeping instead of vacuuming, no garbage disposal or even the time spent looking for stuff at night or getting ready for 6am clients in the dark with power is at least 4x that of normal. Despite all of this I was able to further increase my income in December, so without power and all of the myriad of problems that come with it I quadrupled my income over two months. This protocol will be the subject of my second book which will help all health and fitness minded individuals to do the same. 
Accomplishing this under the circumstances is amazingly empowering. I had some of the best days of my life during this time, at the same time developing an even closer relationship with my daughter, because you cant rely on videos or tablets when there is no power. Our days are spent reading books, re-enacting movies, building forts or soaking up sun during long walks. She also has no fear of the dark at all. I would do it all over again. By then eviction processes started against me, so I spent the last of 2017 waiting to get served. During the time I asked, even begged for mercy from the property manager. I have all email correspondence showing this, I never had a direct question answered on phone or email so I asked to come in.  The women at the office played with my daugher as I signed the lease, they seemed like nice people. surely they have mercy on my situation if I came in person.
Well after refusing to answer one of the questions I presented online or email they said they enough after 3 minutes and threatened to call police. I could not believe it, I have the interaction recorded for anyone who would like to hear it. They literally all cackled when I told them I would take this to social media and the pres. You can hear it on my recording and also the main protagonist laugh at the fact that I could not get power and then yell "Get a Job!" at me on way out even though she went thru extra-ordinary lengths to prove my source of income including references.  Enough of them though.
Fast forward to March 2nd, finally have my eviction case, their lawyer agrees to the following terms: I pay all full back rent and and the $700 lawyer fee, $2000 every two weeks, til I catch up. Just what I wanted to do when I first signed lease ha, in return I would get lease agreement in my name only to give to SDG and E to get power on. Yes, I get screwed but I just want to pay and get to my work and book, my reward would be to never have to talk these people ever again, and just drop off payments.  With power it would be easy to come with the cash with my now quadrupled income and another seminar. I get copy of lease in my name, call SDG and E. Was told to wait 1-3 days again before return call. Friday of last week they tell me that I have to pay $700 from the past roommates bill, denied that they asked me to get get lease in my name(outright lie) and refused to discuss it further. Now the the 2nd 2,000 payment is due today or they will start eviction proceedings again, and they will. Also have to come up with $700 for SDG and E, which I have no way to pay when I get because the balance is under ex roommate's name! HELP!! 
Please help get this story to someone or some organization that can help. I have tried a ll the no non-profits and legal aid has done all they can do.  It has cost me 10s of thousands of dollars in potential income and lost time. This enterprise WILL get up and running and employ many, these soulless, greedy and criminal companies are what is wrong with America. Progress, small business owners, inventors, self funded entrepreneurs  and innovation dont have a chance in this climate. It is un-American, evil and just bad business. If these companies would just let me pay what I owed like we signed signed on for everyone wins.  I just want to pay my bills and cant! 
During the coarse of this I have found out how they get away with this. 99 percent of working people cannot afford to miss the work days required to get justice. How many of you can afford to lose one days pay? It would take weeks of time and effort to be properly compensated. Lets get some publicity to these practices and hold their feet to the fire. SDG and E can burn down San Diego and make it's customers pay, then use the money they save to prevent other companies from using the grid to prevent competition. Supposedly illegal.
