2015: All Stars - Sponsorship Requests Khalil Henry, Joseph Jackson and Rafael Davis

I  am personal trainer in San Diego who has volunteered time to train athletes who otherwise could not afford it. I am offering the rare opportunity to sponsor world class athlete before they hit the national/world stage. Athletes and gym rats alike will immediately see the potential in the videos.

Khalil Henry- Legend Making

Khalil is a high jumper who came to work with me after using his 4 years of eligibility in college. He jumped 6'10" in JC to qualify for D1. Practicing on bad equipment he tore his achilles and needed major rehab. I saw 3 things that stood out:
1: muscle/fat ratio needed improvement
2. He had not begun to tap his true strength/power potential
3. He was hungry

He weighed 210 pounds and could barely squeeze out quarter rep squats with 185. After working with me in just a few months he was at all time strongest and lighter than ever. With his new strength he found new determination and a entered meet at UCSD.
I  have 20 years experience training athletes and when I see one compete, I can usually spot what their weakness is and what they need to improve on. High jumping is another story. Khalil competed "unattached", no school, coaches or sponsors. After his first practice jump I noticed I didnt have a clue on how to correct high jump technique. I watched the meet in the pit with the other coaches, after each athlete jumped they went directly to their coach and got pointers on their jumps.
Khalil just got back in line and waited for his next jump and I stood there in ignorance.  That day, his first jump after his injury and with no pit training he jumped 6'6".
Shortly thereafter he was diagnosed with 2 herniated discs and could not workout and was waiting on word if he needed surgery.
After a long layoff we resumed training early this year-

This video is of Khalil manhandling 225 reverse lunges(1 leg squat) at a bodyweight of 190 a few months back.

I immediately began to go through my contact to look for high jump coach, after many promises, nothing came through. I did a weekend crash course and am familiar with proper technique and can correct a video, but am still not able to make instant real time corrections. I am getting better though. The following was a meet at SDSU he hits 7'0"

6" better than UCSD, a solid improvement. We did calculations, assesed how he felt, and considered the training or lack of and  without a doubt realized that he can not only qualify for the Olympics at 7'6" but he has potential to break world record at 8'0"!
Here's why:
1)The jump was delayed for 3 hours, after his warm up! He was sitting around in the sun hungry, had a spoon of peanut butter. Combined with mental stress of being warm then having to wait 3 hours, I'm sure an inch or two was lost.

 2) Very minimal practice in high jump pit and NO coaching at practice. Another good storyline: takes public transportation 2.5 hours away just to use pit. The last few times before the meet the pit was closed.

3)He has been hitting pr's in gym at 181, plans to jump at 170. Right after Thanksgiving he was 195 at this meet!

4) His form, approach and takeoff are way off. No coaching and first jump after 6 months. His height on jump better than ever.

5) We have not even started nutrition and supplementation program yet!

After meet he was feeling good. After hitting a 275 power clean he "plays" with a 7'6" height. That means no measured steps, random starting point and not thinking about form.
This jump got the attention of some big names in track and field, including Usain Bolt's manager. At 7'3" Nike will fully sponsor gear.
An ON sponsorship would benefit both parties immensely. He will be able to make that next step with proper supplements and save on his grocery bill. The Olympics are next year and present an unprecedented marketing opportunity. As of now he is relatively unknown and to say you guys were there when no one else was will say a lot about your company. Especially if he hits 8'0".

2nd candiate is my son Joseph Jackson. He would be ideal to sponsor for many reasons. He has that ON look, playing football at Southwestern College this Fall, has a bodybuilding background and model looks. He is pretty popular on Youtube with no marketing.
JJ is my youngest son, I raised him and two siblings by myself after their mom left us. He was a an angry child after that and I could see from the age of 3 he needed an outlet for release. I worked in gym my whole life and he grew up there too. Through bodybuilding I was able to keep him off high school binge drinking, drugs and partying. Results came first. We found out as a boy he extremely fast. Combine this with an absolute love of bodybuilding and football and you get the product you will see in the Fall.

JJ is unknown on the national scene- Due to me moving, grades, fights and a corrupt CIF/ Juco system JJ's last year playing was freshman high school football. Even at that age he was strongest at his high school and among the fastest. Being a single father we have had many obstacles,  just being eligible to play was the biggest obstacle. He finally got on roster 2014 at local JC.  he was not only the strongest and fastest, but the team leader. They made him special teams captain during summer.
I was under the mistaken impression that coaches would play their best athletes. He practiced at safety all summer and dominated. As the weeks went by something was amiss, he did not get one play at safety, even in blowouts or final game. Players and other coaches were asking him why he wasn't playing, it was so blatant. Near the end of season at practice he played running back against first team defense, playing with 2nd string offense. 300 yards later the clueless coaches asked why he didn't play RB and didn't know he was that fast. We transferred the next semester, coaches from his former team took his credits so he wouldn't be eligible and put the transfer rule in effect so he was not allowed to play 2015 after practicing all summer at 1st string running back on a team with 3 straight JC state championships. He caught balls in last two summers at Whitfield academy for Manziel and other top D1 guys. His bodybuilding background made him look like a linebacker compared to everyone else despite weighing 180.  This leg workout would be impressie for a 300 lb lineman. he crushes it at 185 and demonstrates foot speed at end with fried legs.

After the first game this fall he will be highly recruited for D1, sponsorship will be tricky with the NCAA so now is the ideal time. He also won teen Natural Southern Cal and finished 2nd overall at 16 years old and competed in NPC show at 18, no dieting or cardio for either. He walks around photoshoot condition. This year we hit our goal weight of 200 lbs while maintaining speed with only supplement being a preworkout. He would have done a show or two this year but finances are tough and we couldn't come up with entry fee. With proper supps he can be stage ready in 4 weeks or less if during track season.

Third is an amazing story. A former co-worker of mine who after a crippling motorcycle crash took up ju-jitsu mainly to help with depression at 42 years of age. Like me, he has ability to see and grasp fundamental truths and use them for his benefit. As I did with the fitness, he saw that many were glossing over or not paying enough attention to what he called the 4 fundamentals. I had no idea what he was talking about technique wise but knew where he was coming from. I knew that his knowledge and my program design would take him far. I had no idea how far, this month he has won the fucking World Championships! Beating a few of his idols on way to the gold. He also has promotion vids ready to go:

The last candidate is myself. A lot of athletic/personal  trainers are famous for training professional and high caliber athletes. When I look into it, 100% of the time they get the athlete after they are already professional or on top of there game. Earlier this year a client who I have trained since high school Norman Powell, got drafted 45th in the NBA draft. I stated on FB that day how shitty the scouts must be, as he took UCLA to the sweet 16 on his shoulders. He went on to be MVP of summer league and signed for the Raptors. After a summer training with me his vert increased dramatically and the next season he takes team to state championship and wins a couple of slam dunk contests. I became the "guy who trained Norman" around the basketball circles and have been requested to work with some high potential D1 guys this year in the offseason. He most likely will be participating in the NBA slam dunk this year, pretty crazy and will lead to many more hoopsters in the future.

So 2015 brought international attention to two of my clients, and 2016 will I plan to double that. The reason?  There is a huge fundamental flaw in exercise physiology, hypertrophy science and performance science in general. I realized this in '95 and built a career out of it. Two years ago I committed to understanding what is happening in a molecular level to explain the seemingly amazing results my clients were getting. This last year put me in a position where I can train less make more, research and train deserving athletes who just cant afford personal training. That's how all of the above athletes worked with me, free or $20 a session. It has paid off immensely and I am just getting started. Goal is to run state of the art training in inner city neighborhoods and start spitting out first round draft picks in every sport. I work out and keep up with all my athletes in the gym at 47 years old, was not able to afford supps this year and made great progress still. Having a supplement sponsor would go a long way for me and any future athletes/clients.
Thanks for your ti
